We absolutely fell in love with this place.  Excellent service.  Wonderful extra touches and things to try before our meal even arrived!  And the meal, absolute heaven!  --even before we had our meal.  I had the tandoori mixed grill and my husband chose Shrimp Karahi.  Mine came out sizzling!  It would be my recommendation for someone who is not very sure about whether or not they will like Indian food.  My husband's choice was the one that won my heart.  Oh my--the sauce, the flavor.  The next day's leftovers--slices of my chicken mixed into what was left of his sauce was a real treat.  This is a must-try for anyone who likes good food.  We are telling everyone we know about this hidden treasure that has come to our area.

The food is so heavenly, I crave it day and night.  The staff is the best.  You could not ask for better service. The chicken tikka masala is my favorite, but everything is so wonderful, it's hard to choose.  Definitely the best restaurant in kansas city.

Of the few Indian Restaurants in KC, the Taj Mahal is a hidden gem. While the original Taj Mahal in India is in plain view of tourists and locals alike, this city staple isn’t as easy to find. Hidden in a strip mall, all of the cuisine is described in English just in case you aren’t familiar with the Chana Masala. Diners are encouraged to choose their own level of spice from mild, medium hot, hot, very hot and super hot. Any hotter and you might set off the sprinkler system.

I've eaten at some of the best Indian resturants in the country. That includes New York and LA but right here in Kansas City, we have by far, the best Indian resturant in the country. The food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. Just the right spices. The true taste of India is at TajMahal. I will not eat anywhere else when I am in Kansas City.

This resturant gave me a five star performance in all areas. Food was excellent, seasoned to stimulate the taste buds. I wonder what other great dishes are on the sidelines. Next time I will try more, a gift for anyone who eats at this marvelous place. Service is the best I have seen in KC area. You do not have to ask for anything. The staff is thinking how next to please their customer. I say thank you for the most wonderful dinner I have had in over 25 years.

My husband is from Europe and Indian Cuisine is popular there. We tried several Indian restaturants but always come back to the TAJMAHAL. The service is wonderful, and we love to visit there. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Taj Mahal is by far the best Indian restaurant in Kansas City. My dear friends and I partake of their delicious lunch buffet on a weekly basis. My personal favorites are the spicy vegetable korma and sweet gulab jamon. I suggest everyone try their lunch buffet at least once. It is a real treat. I would rate it a 5 star restaurant.

My husband and I tried the Taj Mahal and it was incredible. The Taj Mahal dinner for two was a true feast! It was my first try and Indian cuisine and I love it. Had my leftovers from last night for breakfast this morning because I couldn't wait till lunch. The manager and staff were attentive, kind and made us feel very welcome. I'm already trying to decide what to have on our next visit.....it will be soon!
